A little humor in this month’s newsletter as we share a conversation Todd recently had with his grandson, Sam, age 11, at their weekly lunch:
Todd: I get excited about helping our clients pay their estate taxes with life insurance.
Sam: When do they pay those taxes?
Todd: When they die.
Sam: Really, they pay taxes when they die?
Todd: Yes, but it depends on the size of their estate.
Sam: Why wouldn’t everyone just move to Rhode Island?
Todd: What?
Sam: You said the tax was based on the size of their state!
