Robert Rowland “Rowe” Blount is a first-generation San Antonian. He attended Alamo Heights High School where he was the goalie for the water polo team as well as Senior Class President. After high school, he matriculated at Southern Methodist University. While at SMU, he also studied at the Universidad Verracruzana in Xapala Mexico, the Fundación Jose Ortega y Gasset in Madrid Spain, and the London School of Economics.
He earned a Finance Degree from the Cox School of Business and Spanish Degree from the Dedman School of Humanities and Sciences, with a minor in Cinema/Television at SMU.
Rowe was an active member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity where he held the positions of House Manager, Chaplain, and Pledge Trainer.
He has worked in many enterprises. Beginning his career in the life insurance business was in response to a need he saw firsthand with the Coronavirus epidemic. He holds a Mutual Funds and Variable Annuities Representative License (Series 6), as well as a Uniform Securities State Law license (Series 63).
Rowe is actively involved in many social and philanthropic organizations in San Antonio. He enjoys live music, attending the cinema, swimming exercises, and spending time traveling to the hill country in Texas with his family.
